1.Description: The surface being painted (the coating film) needs to be evaluated for its resistance to scrubbing by brush, sponge, or other means. Therefore, there is a need for a precision instrument that can generate a repeatable, controlled condition to simulate the type of abrasion that a coating film faces on a daily basis. BGD has designed the Scrub Resistance Tester to effectively evaluate the scrubbability of a coating film and the related properties that affect the coating's resistance to abrasion, as well as to evaluate the performance of detergents in a reproducible test.
The BGD 526 is a state-of-the-art, fully touch-screen operated scrubber gauge that is compatible with a wide range of national and international test standards. These rugged and reliable instruments are extremely versatile and can test the abrasion, washing, brushing and resistance properties of a wide range of materials including pigments, lacquers, inks, coatings, leather, wood, plastics, printed materials, fabrics and more.
